Hello everyone!

My best friend and I want to go on an Interrail adventure this September. We're planning on getting a FlexiPass for 10 train days in 22 days and we want to visit a lot of cities. We're starting and ending in Brussels, because we're Belgian.

Berlin
Prague
Vienna
Budapest
Zagreb
Ljubljana
Venice
München
Heidelberg

My question is if you think this is doable? We're only planning on a maximum of three days in one city, but mostly two, sometimes even only one.

Advice and tips would be welcome :) !

Yes, it's doable :)
maybe you think about a stop at Lake Bled in Slovenia https://rail.cc/en/bled/c
I don't know if you have time for this, but maybe you keep in mind a awesome trip through the Alpes. It needs a day to do this trip, but it's definitely worth it. https://rail.cc/en/train/milan-to-zurich
When you go home from Heidelberg, take a trip through the rhine valley. https://rail.cc/en/train/heidelberg-to-cologne

I did a trip from Berlin-Prague-Krakow-Vienna-Bled-Rome and Amsterdam. It is very easy to do this with the 10/22 day pass. And we spent probably an average of 3 days in each city which seemed to be plenty :)

Hi.
And finally some good news: you can travel all routes free of extra reservation fees, except the night train Venice to Munich (but you save the money for a hostel)! :)

Belgium/German border to Berlin: free - for example first to Cologne and then by direct ICE train to Berlin - https://rail.cc/en/train/cologne-to-berlin

Berlin - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/train/berlin-to-prague

Prague - Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/train/prague-to-vienna

Vienna - Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/train/vienna-to-budapest

Budapest - Zagreb: https://rail.cc/en/train/budapest-to-zagreb

Zagreb - Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/train/zagreb-to-ljubljana

Ljubljana - Venice: border crossing - all trains are free - https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/

Venice - Munich: I recommend the direct night train - https://rail.cc/en/train/venice-to-munich

Munich - Heidelberg - Aachen (I suppose you cross there the border?): free

Please support railcc:
- buy your rail passes and tickets here on the recommended website: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
- add locations of your home-town (bars, nice places, ...)
Thank you! :)

Hej,

spending only 1-3 days in each place is the thing to to while you are on an InterRail trip, that way you get the most out of your ticket! :)
