Hi everyone!
There are a lot of topic according travelling (Interrailing) alone or with a partner, however i would like to discuss your views, previous experiences and preferences when it comes to interrailing Europe.
With only 1 interrail trip last summer, when i have traveled with a friend (2 of us) i don't have much reference to whether traveling on your own or in a big group is better/worse.
As i am off work end of march for 2 weeks i'm planning a 10 day trip by myself, i know i can easily manage it, i'm confident that it would be a really good trip but my other question is; What is it like to travel alone (say 10 day period) when it comes to costs, finding accommodation, spending the time? Keeping in mind that it wouldn't be PEAK season such as summer, but 25 March till 5 of April?
Lets hear your views!!
Have a nice weekend :)
Jakub.

Hi Jakub.
My personal current way of travel : I like traveling alone. In dorms you always meet other travellers. It is easier to get into contact, when you are alone.
During your trip you can travel one, two, three days together with someone you met.

I have to agree with you, i though that when travelling and seeing as there is so many people interrailing too, dorms also are cheaper so the cost is not an issue in most cases :)
Guess you have to try travelling differently to figure out which you prefer. Some people i know for a fact could only travel in a big group :)

I also travelled in a small group of four people, sometimes just with one other person - but finally I found out for myself, that I prefer to travel alone. But traveling in a group is also fine ... depends on what kind of travel you want: having fun with friends, or meeting other travelers, ... :)

I think that the time you spend, say if you interrail for 10 days, on the trains alone, meeting travelers now and then, but not being limited to certain people, allows you to appreciate the traveling itself much more :)
I'm planning 2 interrail trips this year, can't wait now, first round 25th March-5th April and second in august,
Take care!
