Hi everyone. New to forum and planning my first trip for the start of february so can get my trip done before I turn 26 and take advantage of the cheaper ticket. So here is the problem, I am unsure as to which documents I am likely to need. I am leaving from the UK and planning to go from Amsterdam-Prague-Kracow-Vienna-Amsterdam. MY dilemna is that I changed my name a year ago, but havent updated my passport as it has 3 years left on it in my old name (Clarke). I have a prepaid credit card in my original name (Clarke) but everything else I have is in my new name (King-Evans) i.e. bank cards, statements, driving licence.
Also now If i send my passport off Im not certain it will come back before Intend on going on my trip (considering addtional time to order pass off railcc naturally). So, to sumarise, will it be possible to travel with just a passport and no addtional paperwork? many thanks for any replies. Jele

Hej,

well, on all my IR trips I always had only my passport with me and no other paperwork. So I think you should just be fine if you would let issue your IR ticket with your old name accordingly to your passport. I would not worry about a conductor asking for other documents than your passport when checking the IR ticket. Actually it is rather rare that anyone checks your passport on the train, at least in my experience (talking about train personel).

And if you like railcc and want to support it, buy your official Interrail pass here via our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you.
