Hej,

a few tips to start with:

- Your route is way too ambitious in case you actually want to see something more than the train station in each city. Have a look at the train timetables :arr: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route and :arr: [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux] to get an idea of travel times between each places.
- The Baltic Countries are not included in the Interrail scheme, I would recommend to visit them on a separate trip.
- If you can stay at friends places from time to time I think 1000€ can be realistic if you take care on what you spend your money (eg dont go out for dinner every day and so on). But without transport costs!
- Consider that going to the UK and Ireland will be quite expensive and time consuming: The Eurostar from Bruxelles or Paris to London is around 75€ one way with Interrail, a regular ticket bought in advance can be as cheap as 48€. If you decide to go by ferry, prices start at around 25-30€ for the Calais - Dover ferry which takes about 75min, however if you add the time you need to go to from Bruxelles or Paris to Calais and then from Dover to London this will take moreorless a whole day. Similar with the Hook van Holland - Harwich route which is 35€ (plus 35€ for a cabin if you go overnight), this takes longer than the Calais - Dover ferry but is worth considering because you can reach Hook van Holland quite quick from the Benelux area.
Then, crossing the Irish Sea is again around 25€, the fastest option being a Holyhead - Dublin ferry; to go from Cairnryan to Belfast is really complicated since the Scottish port is a few kilometres away from Stranraer, the train station.
Also, remember that you will have to pay everything double if you want to get back to mainland Europe. ;)

I would as well recommend to have a look here :arr: https://rail.cc/en/first-time-interrail

Hey!

Thanks for prompt answer!

Indeed trip plan is ambitious :) i already memorize all informations on this website ( thanks for everything).

Main aim is, travel short distance but everyday, since i've been to some of these cities before. '' * ''cities will be like chilling with friends.Furthermore, non * cities are really expensive in general so i thought it's better not to stay too much for example in Oslo,Copenhagen..

I may skip Baltic countries but their locations necessary in order to reach Helsinki :/

One more question: Why to buy One month global pass if not travel almost everyday?

Hej,

I dont want to discourage you. ;) However, for a first-timer the plan still is quite ambitious, especially after travelling two or three weeks one often wants to relax a little and does not have the energy anymore for such a dense schedule as during the first half of a trip.

Anyway, if you want to do this trip, just do it, of course, but again, have a closer look at the schedules unless you want to end up with just a few hours in some places.

For instance, going through the Baltics will require a lot of time due to bad connections from South to North (the train network still is aimed towards Russia) plus of course extra money since they do not accept IR.

To go to Helsinki I would instead recommend a ferry - either from Poland (although they are rather expensive) or from Stockholm (you could then make one trip during the day, the other during the night; and if you want to travel by train in Finland you could make a short day trip to Turku, Lappeenranta,...)

I would reschedule the trip like this:

Wien - Bratislava - Budapest - Praha (this would allow you to take the overnight train to Praha if needed) - Warszaw (again, overnight train possible) - Berlin - Stockholm (with Berlin-Night-Express to Malmö, then on to Stockholm) - Helsinki - Stockholm - Oslo - Copenhagen - Amsterdam (by night train from Copenhagen) - Bruxelles - London (by Hook van Holland - Harwich ferry, preferable overnight) - Glasgow (night train from London) - Liverpool - Belfast - Dublin - London - Paris (with Dover - Calais ferry) - Basel - Ljubljana (with night train from Zürich)
