Hi, 3 friends and myself are going to be purchasing 3 inter rail tickets for this upcomming summer. We have just began to plan this trip. We are planning to fly into Barcelona for the uk, spend 4 days there for a music festival then head to france, holland and possible somewhere else before finally heading back to London to get are return flight home. My questions are, is there any train stations near Barcelona city centre? Also what would be the best route to take France then holland, then back to the UK? Also does inter rail go from France to the UK, or will we need different tickets for that?
Any information would be greatly appreciated, Regards.

Hi.
To find good train routes, use this website:
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
All extra reservation fees are listed here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
In the center of Barcelona, you will find a train station: Barcelona Sants
https://rail.cc/en/barcelona/barcelona-sants-railway-station/l127
To go back from France ot the UK, the cheapest way is to use a ferry from Calais to Dover for about 5 EUR.
If you want to use the Eurostar for crossing the channel via Paris-London (St. Pancras) you have to pay a special price which is about 65 EUR one-way.
so better to use a ferry !! ;)
if you search this forum, you will find more information about this topic.
maybe it is even cheaper to fly from France back to the UK by easyjet or ryanair!?
have a lot of fun,
Peter

I tried playing about with the routes but found it difficult to be honest. I know none the train station names etc.
A couple of other new questions can inter rail be used at every train stations are only selected ones and are trains run regualry from each station? Also do you know how long it is approximateley from Bracelona to Middle east france?

hi ...
you can use every train station ... as not the station is the important thing, it is the train (see subject of supplements). :)
The trains run regularly just use the website mentioned above. Also for the connection Barcelona to France. :)
You do not have to enter the exact name of a station to find out the connections, just enter the name of the town or of the village ...!
Have fun,
Peter

Thanks for all your help Peter, I appreciate it, and sorry for some silly questions.
I am excited about the trip but at the same time I am nervous about the traveling thing, I am scared I wont know what trains to get.
