I have booked a eurostar train arriving at 19.05pm in Brussels I have to then quickly change onto the 19.28 Thalys train to Essen(germany) leaving from the same station. This means I have only 23 mins to make the reservation and get on the train. Does anyone who has experience in this station know the quickest way to the ticket office from leaving the eurostar train? I am worried this wont be enough time to make the connection is it enough time? I have tried to make the reservation online(I have an interrail pass) but it seems to be impossible as ive tried railcc and raileur*pe and it doesnt come up.

Hi.
If you have a ticket (reservation) for Thalys, the 23 minutes are enough time to change the train.
Too bad that you booked this late Eurostar to Brussels, as there are several connections before 1900h leaving to Essen absolutely free of extra reservation fees. Thayls isn't recommended for Interrailers.
Is you final destination Essen for this day? Which date are you traveling?

By the way: the reservation for Thalys will be EUR 34 from Brussels to Essen. :(
Depending on your travel date, you can still use free trains with some changes, but much slower as Thalys as it is too late in the evening for this route to get a good and free connection.

There is one solution which will start in Brussels at 1958 and arrive in Münster at 0250. It is free and will save you the EUR 34.
Other option, a bit cheaper: from Brussels to Aachen by Thalys which is EUR 26. There change to a local train (2051) to Cologne. Change in Cologne to an ICE train (2210) to Münster. Arrival at 2358.
To get the special Thalys reservation, phone them.
Seems the company where you bought your rail pass didn't gave you support how to save your money on an Interrail trip!? :|
