Hi! I'm new to the forum and also the eurail. My wife and I were thinking about taking a 10-14 day trip from Amsterdam-Brussels-Paris-Bordeaux-Madrid-Lisbon. Sounds ambitious to me. My first question, is it even possible to make this trip in the time frame we have? Also, I understand that certain trains, like the TVG in France requires an supplement. When i buy the eurail pass, does it cover all trains in the EU? What about subway trains? Its a bit confusing to me.
Any suggestions or information would be very helpful and much appreciated.

hey,
the trip sounds possible :) if you want to stay up to 2-3 days in every city. Avoid the expensive THALYS on the trip between Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris. There are several other possibilities.

For the route Brussels - Paris I may advice you to take a connections like that: https://rail.cc/en/eurail/brussels-to-paris I think it's a good balance between extra fees and time. If you prebook the TGV you may just have to pay 3€ in additional. The same works for the route Paris - Bordeaux.
Bordeaux - Madrid
Theres no direct connection so you may use a TGV to Irun & continue via a spanish train ( https://rail.cc/en/eurail-train-reservation/spain/es ). You can avoid the TGV, if you take a TER (free) from Bordeaux to Hendaye, there you can use a local train (euskotren) go to Irun (1,70€) and continue as mentioned above. You may find a connection here [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux]
I think the easiest way from Madrid to Lisbon is the night train: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/madrid-lisbon-th-332/71
You have to pay extra fees for the subways, for example the Metro in Paris: http://www.ratp.fr/en/ratp/r_61654/parisvisite/
