Hi,
I'm planning to see Eastern Europ by rail. Starting in Sweden (Malmö) and then Berlin, Prague or Krakow, Budapest and Split. I will probably catch a flight back to Sweden from there.
Do you think it's a good idea to buy a 10 day interrail pass for my kids (ages 10 and 8) ? Or is it cheaper to buy regular tickets?
I plan to use as many night trains as possible (couchettes).
Thank you
Sara

Hi Sara.
For a calculation between an Interrail pass for kids and point to point tickets, you will have to visit the websites of the different national railways you use. As prices often depend on the date and time you travel.
Malmö - Berlin: by direct night train (not running daily) - check the Veolia website linked here: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/malmoe-berlin-en-301/57
It is also possible to get an Europa Spezial Ticket - Schweden for day trains here: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
Berlin - Prague: definitely here - [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
Prague - Krakow: you can try to contact cd.cz
Krakow - Budapest: prices should be available at mav-start.hu to get an impression. But booking must be in Poland then (maybe intercity.pl).
Budapest - Split: first book to Zagreb via mav-start.hu. The second part check at the website of the Croatian railway. The ticket is available then either in Budapest or in Zagreb when you cahnge the train.
Have a nice trip, Peter
