Hi
I'm planning a short trip thru denmark-germany-netherlands.
I have to be in Hannover the 25/10, 24th is ok too. The 26th I want to go from Hannover to Osnabruck, how are the train connections here? I need to be in Osnabruck early afternoon.
Then I may go on to Utrecht, Netherlands, again, how are the train connections? Can I go straight west or is it a big detour with train?
Passport is also a question as I'm dual citizen, EU and non-EU.
Should I buy the sightseeing ticket for hamburg + extra ticket to hannover, or will interrail be cheaper (including fee's)?
Also, where can I find a place to stay in osnabruck? close to station if possible.

1.this is really a lazy Q: simply use the many railplanners that are linked in this site or google.
Basically its all quite frequent- the main puzzle for you will be to choose what type of train to use in Germany-cheap and slow or cost more for luxury and speed.
2.From Osna to NL: the Berlin-Amsterdam trains run ev 2 hrs -I used it yesterday too, and you change in AMERSFOORT-same platform, other side, to direct Ic to Rotterdam with stop in Utrecht.
THis is all in SCHENGEN area so there are no further passpt checks. Anyway: even a fool would grasp that travelling in the EU is best done with a EU-passpt.
The MINIMum for IR is for 5 days-so unless you also make more long trips by train, for just these trips it will not pay off. Also: i have never heard of sightseeing tickets for this-clarify if you can.
3.ANY major and nearly any minor german town has plenty of hotels-not overly cheap, not overly expensive either, find them on google, links on this site or 1 of the 100s of hotelbookingssites-most of these also show location if hit the right click.

Hi.
Nltrainer answered already, so just as additional information:
you can buy all the train tickets and find the schedules as well here (including special fares and the cheapest prices!):
[ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
These are e-tickets to print out at home. :)
I think point to point tickets will be definitely cheaper than Interrail. As earlier you buy, as cheaper tickets you get!
For hostels or hotels check [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux] and [ux]https://rail.shop/bookingcom[/ux]
