Hello.....

I am planning my next trip and i was thinking about going to Krakow, Bucharest, Istanbul, Athens and finishing in Rome but i have seen that there are some problems in the rail network in Turkey and Greece. For this reason i dont know if it is possible to do this trip. Can you help me with this and suggest me the best way to do it?

Thanks

Hi.
There is a bus replacement from the Bulgarian-Turkish border until Istanbul.
Option is to take a direct bus for EUR 25 from Sofia to Istanbul.
Istanbul to Athens isn't really possible by train, so take a bus as well.
Information and schedules here: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

It depends on how many days you want to travel, but you could change your route a bit like this...
Krakow - Budapest - Bucharest - Sofia - Belgrade - Bar (Montenegro)
Then by bus to Croatia: Dubrovnik, Split
By ferry to Italy - and then to Rome.

Peter :)
