My partner and I, both South Africans, will be traveling to Europe for the first time, and will like to book our rail tickets via railcc. We will be arriving in Paris, then to Berlin, to Amsterdam, to Brussels and back to Paris where we take our flight back to South Africa. Kindly Advice:
is this route (paris, berlin, amsterdam, brussels, paris) doable via rail?
Can we use the select pass, 5 trips?
Can we stop at an in between place for a few hours, hop on the next train on one of our onward journeys?
The distance between each destination via rail?
I did read some of your posts which I found to be very very helpful. However, we are first time visitors to Europe and we are really not sure as to whether the rail will be a viable option for us.
Any help will be much much appreciated. Thank you most kindly.

Hi.
So here we go... :)

If you want to travel with an Eurail Pass, the Eurail 3 countries select Pass could be an option for you.
As Netherlands and Belgium are counted as one country = Benelux:
https://rail.cc/en/eurail-select-pass

Paris - Berlin: https://rail.cc/en/eurail/paris-to-berlin
Berlin - Amsterdam: https://rail.cc/en/eurail/berlin-to-amsterdam
Amsterdam - Brussels: https://rail.cc/en/eurail/amsterdam-to-brussels
Brussels - Paris: https://rail.cc/en/eurail/brussels-to-paris

If you want to have stops in between, you could travel like this (just some options to get some ideas):

Paris - Strasbourg - Heidelberg - Berlin
Paris - Munich - Prague - Berlin

Berlin Hamburg/Cologne - Amsterdam

In Belgium I would prefer Bruges instead of Brussels.

If you want to travel straight forward without stops (and you book early), then you could also skip the Eurail pass and buy individual special fare point to point tickets. So if it's okay for you to have a fix route (date and time is fixed on such special prices tickets), this might be a good option.

Have a good time in South Africa, Peter :)
