Here's our plan:
15th - fly into Prague
18th - depart Prague for Krakow by night train
22/23nd - depart Krakow for Budapest by night train
26th - depart Budapest for Ljubljana
30th - Ljubljana to Zagreb
then down Croatian coast
Montenegro
Bulgaria
Turkey (Istanbul)
I think what has put my travel-mates off the interrail pass is that we won't be using trains really in Croatia, and Montenegro is not covered by the pass. Plus we intend on mainly using night trains, which we will need to pay an interrail supplement on as well.
But I'm concerned we're being shortsighted. Even if we got the 10 in 22 days... it might be worth it for the first paty of the trip...
Especially if we want to use regional trains for any day trips.
I've tried looking up train prices online, but it's so hard to find reliable pricing and to price up night train supplements on the pass.
Any advice?

Hi.
To find out prices for point to point tickets in the different countries, you have to check the websites of the national railway companies in each country.
Montenegro is included in Interrail
Night trains: you also have to pay a reservation with standard tickets for the type of bed you want.
All night trains are listed here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
Prague - Krakow: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/prague-krakow-en-443/148
Krakow - Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/krakow-budapest-en-402/124
Several day train connections are here: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

hey,
i think it is not possible to use your interrail pass if you use the first route for a night train - connection :/
