Hello!

I am going for my first InterRail in one week and plan to stay both in hostels and campingsites. So i will try to get some hiking done. But my problem the shoes! =S I was only going to take my walking/hiking shoes and flip flops, but then i said to my self: I like running with my Vibrams and like dancing in fancy shoes. So should i take the extra weight for some Vibram Five fingers running shoes and my Pumas for clubs and such?

That`s up to you. But I wouldn`t do it. I had a pair of Salomon XA Pro 3D shoes with me, they are good for hiking, and also for running. They might not be real good shoes for dancing, but I think one can live with that ;) And of course flip-flops, for the beach, or dirty showers. ;)

Thanks for the reply, but do clubs allow such shoes to be used in there? Hmm this is relly tough choice :/ I propably end up taking 3 pairs of shoes... But i can always send some shoes back to home via mail if i dont need them, i think :D

Umm...in my early days as InterRailer, I used to take two pairs of sneakers plus flip flops with me, attaching the two pairs I did not wear to the backpack.
Nowadays I usually travel with one pair of flip flops plus my Waldviertler boots which are perfect for long walks in both city and nature. If you want to go to clubs I think it is worth it to take one extra pair of shoes with you in addition to your comfortable all-day shoes.

Thx for the tips! I have made my mind. Walking shoes, flip flops and the extra pair.
