Hello! I hope all of you are doing well.

I've just gotten married and am now looking forward to honeymooning in the old world. I plan on landing in Czech Republic and continue my trip with my wife to Paris. The cities described in the subject are the ones I plan on visiting.

What I need to know is that how can I plan this trip to via rail, where it doesn't feel like day light robbery as well as get to witness the best sights and sounds possible.

Thanks, in advance.

Hi.
If you only want to have these three trips, maybe have a look at special prices tickets (book early) instead of a rail pass.
Prague - Vienna: oebb.at
Vienna - Bern: oebb.at
Bern - Basel or Geneva: sbb.ch
From there to Paris: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux]

It all depends on how long you want to stay, how much money you want to spent. If you plan more travel days, have a look at an Eurail pass: https://rail.cc/en/eurail

In Switzerland I recommend to have a look on routes from Chur to St.Moritz, then back from St.Moritz via Disentis-Mustér to Brig, maybe Zermatt... :)

Examples:

We have close to about 5000 euros and 20 days to spare. Would you recommend the above mentioned cities to visit, or prefer that we travel (from Paris - after landing there at the offset of our trip) to Brussels, then Amsterdam and from there on to any two cities in Germany and end our trip in Switzerland instead at Bern. And fly out of Europe from there.

What do you recommend?

Also, I really like the recommendations that you've made in case of Switzerland - that's precisely the kind of a plan I wanted to see with much sight seeing involved.

Okay... 20 days.
Starting Paris, ending in Bern.

Paris - (Bruges instead of Brussels) - Amsterdam - (Berlin) - Prague - (Budapest) - Vienna - (Lake Bled) - (Venice) - (Milan) - crossing the Alps: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/ - Switzerland

But it is your decision where to stay and where not. If you know your route, I am able to help you with the best train ticket.

What if I skip Belgium altogether? Will I be missing out on much? This is what was in my mind, which is pretty darn close to what you wrote, except for a few minor differences.

Paris - Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague (via bus) Bern.

Or

Paris - Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague - Vienna - Venice - (via train route that you just suggested) - Zurich.

Do you recommend this route? Or any other combination which can work better, in our case? Venice is kind of off the track in our case, we want to be able to actually enjoy each of these cities as well.

As for the travel plan..

Paris: 6 days.
Amsterdam: 5 days.
Berlin: 4 days.
Prague: 4 days.
Bern: 5 days. (mostly to travel to towns close by)

= 24 days in all.

Please feel free to ad / subtract any of these combinations since I've never been to Europe before but want a wholesome first experience, with a lot of good planning.
