Dear all,
I'm trying to book berlin-stockholm 07:12 train on 11August via bahn ( [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] ) website. Everything seemed fine until an hour ago, now it says no special fares available and fares not available on standard fares column. Is it possible that ALL tickets have been sold out more than 3 weeks before departure? I can book the same journey one day before or after 11 Aug without any trouble.
P.S:I've already posted this on sweden forum but I guess it should be on germany forum since it is a bahn related question. Sorry for cross posting.

Hi.
Yes. Special fares are sold out for this date.
Why: it is peak travel time in Europe, summer, public holidays. And it is a Saturday - a day on which a lot of persons start their holidays. That's the reason why special fares are sold out. If you want to travel exactly this date, try a special price at Bahn ( [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] ) for Berlin to Copenhagen, then an other one from Copenhagen to Stockholm via sj.se.
Otherwise have a look at an other date (like you already mentioned): [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]

thanks for your reply!
that's really bad news :(
I really don't know how bahn's system work, is it possible that someone cancel his tickets and one more ticket becomes available suddenly? I'm asking this to stop refreshing the page :)
I'm ready to purchase a standard fare ticket but none available.

Don't count on this ... :)
Do it like this:
1) Book Berlin to Copenhagen as e-ticket here: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
2) Then Copenhagen to Stockholm also as e-ticket here: sj.se
Other option on Saturday evening:
1) Berlin to Malmö by overnight train (Veolia booking, follow link): https://rail.cc/en/train/berlin-to-malmoe
2) Malmö to Stockholm on Sunday morning: sj.se

train from berlin arrives at copenhagen on 17:00. (earlier train is full) I couldn't find the sj train since search engine doesn't let me select any departure point outside sweden but the price is 103euro already with copenhagen to stockholm it will be doubled up so it seems like this route won't work for me anyway. :'(
I should have booked the direct train few hours ago when it was still available I never thought it could be sold out this early.

Hi.
In deed - it makes no sense to travel this Saturday with normal tickets. Sad that you do not own a rail pass like Interrail. As then you could travel for free from Berlin to Copenhagen and for a max of EUR 7 to Stockholm. :o
If you want to do it point to point, travel Saturday evening by night train to Malmö (EUR 80 - www.veolia-transport.se/tmpl/Iframe____46090.aspx?epslanguage=EN ). This train would be EUR 19 with Interrail Pass.
And on Sunday morning to Stockholm. Interrail Pass would be EUR 7.
A 5 days in 10 Interrail pass is available for EUR 267: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-global-pass
So if you compare it to single tickets, think about it.

Hey Peter thanks for all your help!
The problem seems to be the hamburg -koebenhavn direct train connection. If I select a later train from hamburg with 1 change rather than the direct one I can book the complete journey for 109 euro. 3 changes instead of 2 but I can live with that :)
