Hi guys,

I've tried booking a reservation (I have already the InterRail ticket) for Paris Geneva on 4th of August and it seems I need to pay for it 34 Euro (I tried this here [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] ), even though the info from the brochure and on the website here says it should be 8/9 Euro for TGV Lyria.

So, I took another approach suggested here (https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42). I booked the ticket for Ab Forfait 2e and paid 1.50 Euro (I kinda rushed with this buy, as there were few places with this cost, so even if it's not the right choise, I only loose 1.50 Euro :) )

From your experience, would this be ok or will I get any issues?

Thanks,
Radu

Hi Radu.
This is the typical situation of limited seats on the French high speed trains. xo
This emergency solution should work within France, for border crossing I don't have personal experience.
An option would be as well by TGV from Paris to Lyon and then buy local and direct train (free for Interrail) to Geneva.
Peter :)

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the info. I will go like this then. Anyway, the ticket is for a TGV to Bellegarde (FR), and from there there's a regional train to Geneva (TER), so should be fine.

Cheers,
Radu
