Hello

I'm planning a train trip trough UK: London - Edinbugh - Aberdeen - Inverness - Fort William - Glasgow - London. I haven't found any information about additional fees to Interrail one country pass. Can you please tell me for which routes of this list I will have to pay additional fees? Especially I'm interested in High Speed Lines (London - Edinburgh, Glasgow - London).

Thanks

Hi Andrej.

The UK is a dream for Interrailers. You can use trains for free - not need to buy reservations. Sometimes you have to ask at gates to the platform to let you in as you don't have a ticket in the sense of a point to point ticket.

but you DO need to have reservations-also seats, for the NIGHTtrains London-Scotland, these are free if done in UK and are quite comfy-most of the people in that coach will be on passes
Extra bonus with IR 1st class-for splurges-in many trains yo get free food or you can sit before in lounges and drink-just like bisnisin the plane.
