1. Please reserve = Reservation required, or just recommended?
2. Tickets available on board train = necessary to buy tickets? Or enough with just the card?

Any advice on what to look for as far as comments go is appreciated.

Kind regards,

Hi Sam.
So you are travelling with Interrail ?
If yes, forget about these comments! There are no special electronic schedule planers available for Interrailers.

Just use the railcc schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

Berlin - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-prague

Prague - Munich: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-munich

And always check the reservation and supplements section: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

There you will find the train types:
Berlin - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/eurocity-deutsche-bahn/155
Prague - Munich: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/alex/158

To answer your questions:
1) A reservation is possible. But my experience on this route: you will always find a seat travelling alone or as small group. Save your money, don\'t buy a reservation!
2) Like at 2. Just enter the train, fill your Interrail pass and sit down. That\'s it. Easy. :)

And if you like the information on railcc, support the project and buy your official Interrail pass in our partner. Thank you! :)

Peter :)
