Hi,
In August I and two friends will be doing interrail with the pass 5 in 10 days. So, how we have litle experience in this kind of traveling we want ask you some advices, if you can help us.
So, we get start the travel in Rome (we go until Rome by plane).
The route we think is:
Rome
Viena
Prague
Berlin
Paris
Barcelona
We like to spend one day or two in each city, least in Paris, and we think make tha travel between countries by night train.
Do you think this route are very big for 10 days?
Any help would be good

Hi Ana,
yes, it is a big route, but easy to do with night trains.
As you travel in high season, I recommend to make bookings for some of them in advance - if available online. :)
Rome - Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/rome-to-vienna
Book in advance via Trenitalia.
Vienna - Prague: you can not book the night train online in advance - and the night train makes no sense. Too short distance. I recommend an inexpensive hostel in Prague.
Free day train connections: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/vienna-to-prague
Nice hostel in Prague: https://rail.cc/en/prague/artharmony-hostel/l771
Prague - Berlin: by free day train - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-berlin
Berlin - Paris: by direct night train - book it early in advance. This one gets quickly booked out!
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-paris
Paris - Barcelona: do NOT use the direct night train. Use an inexpensive French night train (online booking possible). And a nice trip is crossing the Pyrenees by Little Yellow Train.
Connections: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-barcelona
More information: https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
I hope this will help you planing your trip! :)
And if you like railcc, order your official Interrail passes here in our partner to support the railcc project. Thank you! :)

Thank you very much for the answer. Do you think this route is achievable without any problems?
Well, your advices are very good! Like you said, make reservations is a good idea because the high season. So, we would like to make some reservations. The problem is we go to the railcc reservations and the price of reservation for example Rome - Vienna appears 33€. Isn't more cheaper? Can you help us to make reservations?
Thank you, again :)

Hi.
Sorry, I am not the one making the prices for night trains . This is done by the railway companies! I only can give you information. Now I am running this project since more than 16 years to help and to show you the cheapest ways of travel. If you don't want to pay for a bed, just buy a seat. Available at Trenitalia for EUR 7. :)

The fares for this night train are the ones mentioned at this link: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/rome-florence-bologna-vienna/en-234-allegro-tosca/93
Make the booking like mentioned below the map.
Trenitalia offers seats and here at railcc ( [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] ) you have to select:
Standard - TRENITALIA RESERVATION FOR EURAIL PASSHhttps://rail.cc/en/night-train/sweden/seERS - EUR 11
Eurail is like Interrail - so the reservation is also valid for Interrail travellers.

Thank you. I'm new in this things so everything seems very complicated.
I have just one more question: make reservations for the internet is safe? We don't have any problema with the trains?

Hi.
Yes, it will look complicate at the beginning - but after some days, it will get clearer and clearer ... if not, just ask here! That's why we runt this railcc project! :)
If you use the links I give you, it is save to book online!
Peter :)
