Hello, we are in Amsterdam and have a question about this route:
https://rail.cc/en/train/-to-

Down by Amiens it says:

Train tickets: reservation fee included in ticket fare

InterRail: reservation possible but not required

Does this mean we should make an reservation when we get to Amiens, or do we just get on the train without a given seat?

Also, is it really just a matter of filling in the train number and destinations on our Rail passes, and just hop on trains without a given seat?

Hi.
I suppose you are travelling with an Interrail Pass?
If yes, only the line Interrail is important for you and it says: reservation possible but not required
Which means: no need to buy a reservation for this train. Just enter and sit down.
Yes - just fill in for every train you use the train number if available and the destination.
Peter :)

Just use the railcc schedules which will give you an idea on how to avoid extra fees ... it looks complicate at the beginning, but it will become easy and understandable after some days of travel. :)
