Hey,
I was planning my journey from Turku to Cologne and was a bit confused about this Interrail pass and travel days.
I was planning my trip as:
1. Ferry from Turku to Stokholm departs @ 20:55
2. Stokholm to Copenhagen X2000 train
3. Copenhagen to Cologne (CNL train); departs @ 18:10
Does this mean that I have to spend 3 travel days for my journey?
ferry - first travel day
stockholm - copenhagen - second travel day
copenhagen - cologne - third travel day , since it departs befor 7 pm
Is it so? Or is it only 2 days? Can I mark ferry as the next day since it departs after 7 p.m? Or how does this work?
Any help is appreciated!

Hi.
You do not need a travel day for the ferry, your Interrail Pass only has to be valid. Even if you would need a travel day for the ferry, it would be the same calculation using the rule for night trains: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
0 Turku - Stockholm
1 Stockholm - Copenhagen - Odense (the first stop after 1900h - it is going over directly in your 2nd travel day)
2 Odense - Cologne (using the 1900h-rule for night trains)
So you will need TWO travel days for this route. Like I said above, you won't need a travel day for the ferry. In case they want to fill you something in your ticket, select the date of the next day and make use of the 1900h-rule. Then you first ravel day is Turku - Stockholm - Copenhagen - Odense.

Thank you for your reply! It was really helpful! Now I can buy 5/10 pass instead of 10/22!

But note: your Interrail pass has to be already valid on the day you use the ferry to get the discount.
And if you like railcc and the information, support us and buy your official Interrail pass in our partner. Thank you! :)
