Dear All,
I'm trying to book a ticket from vienna to berlin on 7 aug. (preferably 9:33 train from Wien Meidling to Berlin hbf) When I check route planner there are several trains with 0 and 1 train changes but when I try to buy online tickets system doesn't show me those options, so I guess those tickets are not available to purchase online, it is also same on german rail site for the same journey. I couldn't find any other option to buy those tickets, I'm residing in Turkey and tickets with postage service will never make it on time before my departure, i'll be leaving in a week. What should I do? I don't want to wait until I'm in vienna because ticket price won't be the same then. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I dont know what is the issue with the ÖBB online tickets at the moment, but you could get this ticket via the DB website [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] as well. :)

thank you for your reply! but [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] says that tickets I'm trying to purchase can only be delivered by postal service so I'm afraid they won't make it here before my departure.

Humm...you could phone ÖBB, order the tickets and then collect at a ticket machine in Wien.

Oh I didn't know that I could do that, if I can't find any option to do it online I'll try that. Thanks

I've tried to book via phone option but oebb gave me 131 euro ticket price. :( same journey is 49 euro on [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] website. What could be the reason for this 90 euro difference? Is there any way to avoid it? It seems like [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] doesn't give me any other option than to receive the tickets with postal service.

Hi,

sorry for replying late, I was travelling myself. I think the reason for the price difference is that DB still has some places available for the special 49€ tariff whereas the ÖBB contingent is already sold so that only regular tariff tickets are available... :|
