RENFE is the main state railway in Espana=Spain.
They have announced a new railpass for their services, which is based on a nr of trips to be made in 1 month (within 6 monthes after purchase-but the trips in a 1 month period after trip1!!!
The main advantage vs InterRail is:
NO extra 10€ for reservation
NO Quota-you can go as long as there are indeed free seats (for IR they only have a very, very limited nr of seats available-even if other seats may still be free)
you buy 4/6/8/10/12 trips-and the cost is about 40€/trip in turista (=2nd) cl. or about 55 in bisnis-a little less for more trips. Trips on local=cercanias trenes at either end is included and free.
Could be worhtwhile if you are >26 and plan longer time in Espana.
see site of renfe for more info-use those words in top like welcome/bienvenue for other es espanol
