Hi I want to travel to Interlaken when I go inter railing this august but I just wanted to double check firstly that interlaken ost is included in the inter rail ticket? and secondly what is the best/most direct route to get from Zurich to Interlaken? thanks! :D

Hi,
Interlaken Ost is reached by three different lines:
- BLS line from Spiez: InterRail is valid on all trains
- Zentralbahn line from Luzern: InterRail is valid on all trains
- BOB line to Jungfrau area: InterRail is not valid!
From Zürich, there are no direct trains: You have to go to Bern and change there to Interlaken Ost. Another more scenic albeit slower alternative would be to go to Luzern and change to the Brünigbahn :arr: [u]https://rail.cc/en/train/lucerne-to-interlaken[/u]

Which one? The most scenic way would be to go from Zürich to Luzern and change there to a train via the Brünigbahn (sit on the right) to Interlaken Ost. Fastest way via Bern.
