Me and a friend are going for 30 days of interrail starting 07-07. The big problem we currently have is getting to Athens. We can easily get to Skopje by train but done know how to get from there to Athens cause of the problem with their railways.
Any suggestions? everything to be appreciated big time!

It is true, there is no train to Greece from Skopje, you can go with train or bus to Gevgelija and then search for taxi to bring you in Greece. But you can also ask for buss from Skopje to Thessaloniki... and then go on train... I am sorry I am in a hurry at the moment, I will search more information tomorrow and will write you... Skopje is my hometown...

So, I checked today... you can go with bus from Skopje to Thessaloniki. You can buy ticket on the bus station, it costs around 28 euro is return ticket, in one way is 21 euro, and the buses go only Monday, Wensday and Friday... and they start in 6:00 a.m. The transporter is MAKEDONIJA-SOOBRAKAJ.
In summe time ther is also a lot of agencies that make daily tours to the see, and the return ticket is around 15 euro, and I think with them you can not buy one way... but for more details you shoul ask, at the agencies, as normally everything is booked. I hoped I helped everyone, going to the Balakans this summer. Have a nice summer!
