Hi,
I need your help to know if my route is ok and what can I improve on.

Paris–Amsterdam–Berlin–Prague – Krakow-Budapest–Bratislava–Vienna–Munich

I will flight from Portugal to Paris.

15 days

1st– Paris 08:45 - Amsterdam 15:14
3rd- Amsterdam 08:45 – Berlin 13:19
5th - Berlin 06:50 – Prague 13:19
6th - Prague 21:17 – Krakow 06:56
8th - Krakow 22:09 – Budapest 08:35
11th - Budapest 07:10 – Bratislava 12:06
13th - Bratislava 09:32 – Vienna 10:29

Then, after Vienna, I don’t know what I can do to flight back to Portugal. I have two options: Karlsruhe-Baden and Bergamo, but I don’t know the best way to go to those cities and airports.
Taking into account that would be more 1 or 2 days left in the inter-rail pass and I would like to visit another city, what do you do?

Please I need your help…

Thanks

Hi.
Looks good your route.
On Berlin to Prague, you could have a day stop in Dresden if you like.

If you want to fly back home from Karlsruhe, you can travel Vienna - Salzburg (Stop during the day) - Munich - Karlsruhe. Frequent and free connections.
railcc schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
General schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
How to get to the airport: https://rail.cc/en/karlsruhe-baden-airport-train/f6611

Other cities to stop on this route: Nuremberg, Heidelberg, Castle Neuschwanstein = the typical touristy thing! ;)

If you want to fly home from Bergamo, you could travel from Vienna to Lake Bled (Slovenia) and via Venice to Bergamo: https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/

Or as option from Vienna to for example Zurich (Switzerland is expensive!) and the cross the Alps on this amazing route: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/zurich-to-milan

I hope this will help to find you final route! :)
And if you like railcc and want to support all the information here on the website, support it and buy your official Interrail pass here in the railcc shop. Thank you! :)

Peter :)

Thanks for your help!

I think I would prefer Bergamo instead of Karlsruhe, but looking at your suggestions, it seems difficult to get a direct and fast train.
Do you have some idea to go from Vienna to Milan in a fastest way? If I will take the flight in Bergamo I would like to visit Milan.

I found another cheap flight to Portugal from Paris.
So, I think something like that:

Vienna 06:14 –10:30 Munich (stay in Munich)
Munich 22:47 – 09:24 Paris https://rail.cc/en/train/munich-to-paris

But this link doesn’t have information about the supplement. Do you have some information about that? Is expensive?

Thanks again!

Munich - Paris: just click the name of the night train CNL40418 or the link supplement depends on category.
Then you will see this information and where to book it online (recommended via Deutsche Bahn): https://rail.cc/en/night-train/munich-paris-cnl40418/33
