I'm looking to travel from Paris to Pamplona on the 5th of July. I'm using [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] and I've found a train that departs at 19:14 on the 5th and arrives at 9:11 on the 6th, but it isn't a direct train. It has 3 changes. Can I still enter it as one travel day on the 6th?
Is there any better way of getting to Pamplona?
I might skip out on Pamplona because getting there when I want is becoming quite complicated and there is nowhere to sleep, other than the park.

Hi.
No. The connection your are talking about is not possible with the 1900h rule ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train ). As well it includes the very expensive night train Paris-Barcelona ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/paris-barcelona-elipsos-477/86 ).
I recommend:
Paris Montparnasse dep: 0825 - TGV - https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42
Irun arr: 1446
Irun dep: 1555 - ALVIA - https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/alvia-renfe/30
Pamplona arr: 1725
If you want to use a night train, think about travelling via Barcelona ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-barcelona ) using an inexpensive French night train - maybe even include the Little Yellow Train.

A good recommendation. Trouble is finding somewhere to sleep for that extra night. I suppose one extra night sleeping in the park is no big deal.

Then use the French night train and travel via Barcelona.
Sleeper seat in night train: EUR 6 (Example: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/paris-portbou-icn-3731/78 )
Barcelona - Pamplona: by ALVIA = EUR 6,50
Total: EUR 12,50

I think I'll take the direct overnight train to Barcelona on the 5th (https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/paris-barcelona-elipsos-477/86) using my pass, and pay for a ticket from Barcelona to Pamplona later that day.

Sorry, I have one more question. Paris - Vitora on July 5th, departing at 18:53, arriving at 03:44 on the 6th. It's a direct train, do I just enter one travel day on the 5th?

Hi.
Yes, Paris-Vitoria is the direct and very expensive night train EN 409: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/paris-madrid-elipsos-409/88
But you can't use the 1900h-rule (at least officially), as the train is starting before 1900h - and you are leaving before 0400h in the morning: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

That's why I recommend above the inexpensive French night train. And make your journey via Barcelona.
- you have a much longer sleep.
- you can include the Little Yellow Train and crossing the Pyrenees (really amazing this small train - like a roller coaster in the middle of the mountains) - but I just checked: you will need one more day as you can't catch the train to PAM in BCN anymore.
- you save a lot of money (only inexpensive night train, plus the Spanish train = EUR 12,50 in total).
- it is only ONE travel day.

yes, that seems like the best way to do this. just to be clear, i take the overnight all the way to Portbou, then ride around on the little yellow train, the travel onto Pamplona via Barcelona?
I understand the little yellow train is in Villefranche de Conflent, what is the best way to get there from Portbou?
thank you for all your help, Peter :)

Hi.
Like written above - if you want to include the Little Yellow Train on this journey, you will need an extra day.
If you want to do it in ONE travel day with cheap French night train, travel either:
1) More scenic route: Paris - Latour de Carol - Barcelona - Pamplona:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-barcelona
Barcelona Sants dep: 1530 - ALVIA = EUR 6,50 - https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/alvia-renfe/30
Pamplona arr: 1920
2) Paris - Portbou - Barcelona - Pamplona:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-barcelona
And like mentioned above, continue to Papmlona.
Information and connections about the Little Yellow Train: just click the link I gave you above and select a connection: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-barcelona
