Easy now! :D We are 2 guys travellıng from İstanbul to Vienna. Our plan initially ıs to avoid staying in Greece, so we are just passıng by Greece. Our orgınal plan was to travel by bus from İstanbul to Athens and from there to Patras and then precede takıng a ferry to İtaly. However things have changed a little and we would like to take trip through Croatıa. Now on the ınterraıl map we see there ıs a lıne from Splıt to Zagreb and then to Vıenna. So we would lıke to get to Split somehow. Does anybody have any idea how we can get there or if there are any ferries either from Greece or Italy to Split??

of course not from GR- got brains!
from ITaly many-also to other, maybe more atractive ports along Adriatico, main port IT-side is Ancona, but also -fewer-from other IT-ports. NOT include in IR and some are ''superfast'' (aliscavo) and can be pricey-find the slower, old-style overnight ferries and just do deckspace)roll out your sleepbag anywhere). Oh-and for today newbies, so unused to older times: NO, it is likely that not all are online and that even if online, it may not be possible to book online. check a site like ferries.com for an overview.
in fact the IR-maps that I have (and I stock them since they about started that scheme 40 years ago) also show ferry routes over the Adriatic sea-incl those mentioned.
