My route for interrailing next month is:
Paris-Switzerland-Croatia-Slovenia-Budapest-Prague-Krakow-Berlin-Amsterdam using the 22day pass.
We dont want to be too rigid in our plans but can anyone give any informtion about these places and which would be best to stay in longer, and which to stay only a day or 2?
THanks :D

Hi.
The information I can add - but it is a personal one, everyone has other wishes, needs, etc...
Paris - Switzerland: book the TGV in advance if possible - for example in the railcc shop. :)
Switzerland - Italy: even if you do not want to include Italy, think about this route via Milan, free of extra reservation fees - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/zurich-to-milan
Milan - Slovenia: rush trough Venice ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail/milan-to-venice ), then cross the border ( https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/ ) and maybe have a stop at Lake Bled area. Very nice! :)
Croatia: several options, check the schedules - https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
If you go for example by inexpensive night train in the Split area, also visit Dubrovnik - then maybe by bus to Ploce (Croatian buses aren't expensive). From there including Mostar and Sarajevo to Belgrade. And continue to Budapest ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail/belgrade-to-budapest ).
Budapest: definitely stay for 3 nights - maybe have a look at the pub crawl (even I am personally not a fan of it) called old houses / ruins tour ... getting an overview of the old buildings where you will find a lot of nice bars and clubs. Amazing city and cheap. :)
Budapest - Krakow: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/budapest-to-krakow
Krakow - I like it. It's an old town with a lot of students. So 3 nights in my opinion. :)
Maybe think about a day trip (also possible by train) to Auschwitz: https://rail.cc/en/oswiecim/museum-auschwitz-birkenau/l968
Krakow - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/krakow-to-prague
Prague - also worth to stay three nights. A lot to see and definitely good beer. 0.5l in a pub is EUR 1-1,50. And tastes wonderful :)
Prague - Berlin: on your way, have a stop in Dresden (just for some hours - but nice old town!) - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-berlin
In Berlin, stay as well three nights if possible! :)
Berlin - Amsterdam: you can do it by free day train. A nice option is to travel via Hamburg for example.

Mmmh... Amsterdam is expensive. So not my personal favorite. Hostels are a bit rip off.
And don't forget: if you like railcc, support it and buy your official Interrail pass here in our partner. Thank you. :)
