Hey, Im just wondering how seats/couchettes on trains can be reserved and the supplements paid? Can it be done online or does it have to be done when we get to the station itself? What is the best way to go about this.
I am travelling in Eastern-Europe - Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Holland btw and am looking to take some overnight trains.
Thanks James

Hello Mr Redshorts
Reserve your seats and couchettes either online: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
or at an the railway station prior to your departure. You state your pass details and the supplements, if any, will be declared to you. Some routes are very popular at this time of year so it's a good idea to reserve as soon as you can. I recommend that when you arrive in a location make the reservation for your next journey immediately. This means you are less likely to find all the couchettes booked and can relax and don't have to return to the station and waste time in queues.
Have a most excellent trip.

Depending of the country you want to make a reservation for couchettes. :)
It is between 8 and 25 EURO ... the same like a hostel.
We listed all European night trains with the fees to pay here on railcc:

If you want to save this money, have a look for a night-train with normal seats. :)
