Hello, my and my freinds are planning an interrailing trip this summer, and the majority of it is planned and we have managed to find trains without supplements (we are all travelling with month long interrail passes!)
HOWEVER. we cannot seem to find a completely FREE route from Bayeux in Normandy, France to Amsterdam on the 21st August 2012. I would REALLY appreciate some help and advice! thanks (: Georginaaaaaa

Hi.
First by free Intercités train to Paris:
Bayeux dep: 0639
Paris St Lazare arr: 0903
Bayeux dep: 0705 - with change in Caen
Paris St Lazare arr: 1001
Then by free trains to Amsterdam. Have a look here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-amsterdam
A long trip, but possible without extra fees! :)
And if you like railcc, buy your official Interrail pass in our partner. Thank you! :)
Free delivery to the UK!!! :)

Thanks so much! The Bayeux to Paris train, does it require a reservation?
Also, with the other trains, is it wise to arrive on the day to reserve, or is it necessary to reserve places now?

Hi.
All trains are FREE, like you asked for.
Of course there are faster connections available with extra reservation fees.
But the two Intercités connection to Paris (dep: 0639 and dep: 0705, also some later ones) are free: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/intercit%C3%A9s/sncf-ic/108
Then continue by one of the marked as FREE (green icon) connections mentioned here (dep: 1004, dep: 1228): https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-amsterdam
Note: in Paris you have to change the stations.
No need to reserve anything - as these connections mentioned are FREE!
Just sit in the trains and that's it.
Peter :)
