Ferries Barcelona to Rome

Hallo.

can we get some help from Barcelona - Rome trains connections? It is very expensive, is there some cheap trains? And we also considered to take the Ferry(ship) to Rome from barcelona? we found a ferry but we can't see any prices. Do you now the price? We travel from Barcelona to Rome in 13 July.. please help! Thanks! :D
