What is the best way to get to Split in Croatia from Budapest? Also I plan on getting the bus to Dubrovnik, is there a way of getting from Dubrovnik across to Italy and where in Italy would be the best place to go if I plan on going through the south of France then onto Barcelona? thanks :D

Hi!
Budapest - Split: :arr: https://rail.cc/en/train/budapest-to-split
Dubrovnik - Italy: There is only a Jadrolinja service to Bari that I know of, check their website - no IR discount. Alternatively go back to Split for ferries to Ancona and Pescara
Italy - France: Well, the best thing to to is to either go to Milano (frequent services from the Adriatic coast via Bologna), then via Genova - Ventimiglia or via Roma - La Spezia - Genova - Ventimiglia
There are of course ferry services across the Mediterranean :arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/italy/it
France - Barcelona :arr: https://rail.cc/en/train/nice-to-barcelona
Dont underestimate the distances, from Italy to Barcelona I would calculate two overnight stays at least. Of course you could go with Elipsos although its rather expensive :arr: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/milan-barcelona-en-11274/166

The connections at 0615 and 1311 run daily!

Nope - if there were another options chances are very good we would have listed them on railcc. ;)
Problem is that the connections in Zagreb are not very good. Anyway, I would recommend the 1311 departure - leaves you with enough time for an evening stroll through Zagreb, then with the night train (sleeper recommended) down to Split.
