Hi All,

Just had a question and I searched the forum but didnt get any clear answers.

I live in Switzerland and have a 1/2 fare card.

I am planning to buy a Interrail One Country Pass for Austria only.

So I need to buy a ticket from where I live to the border town.

Question is, what is the border town?

I am planning to take the Railjet from Zurich to Innsbruck on the first day of my journey.

On the Swiss side, do I buy the ticket only to Buchs (Swiss side)? Or must I buy my ticket to Feldkirch (Austrian side). It looks like for the Austria One Country Pass, Liechtenstein is covered too, but the Railjet does not make any stops in Liechtenstein, but make stops in Buchs and in Feldkirch.

So to put my question in another way, is the One Country Pass for Austria valid from Buchs onwards?

Any knowledgeable souls here? Thanks a ton!

Hi,

Buchs SG is the border station.

Coming from Austria, ÖBB tariff and therefore IR One Country Pass Austria is valid until Buchs SG (no matter whether Railjet stops or not).
The other CH <> AT border station is St Margrethen.
