Hey - I'm going to be taking the 10:50 Estrella overnight train on July 11 to Barcelona from Madrid and I'm wondering if I need to make reservations for the night train to Barcelona and if so the cheapest and best way to go about doing it. I called ACP 1-866-938-7245 and they told me for 4 of us with Eurail passes it would cost a total of $140 Cdn to reserve. This seemed somewhat pricey to me so I decided to hold of until I got an answer back on here. If anyone knows of any other options or if I am able to book a train when I get to Madrid on July 8th for cheaper please let me know. Thank you.

Hej Logan,
have a look at the reservation prices for this night train here :arr: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/night-train/madrid-barcelona-estr-370/392
When making a reservation at a European railway station, prices should be like this - so I would recommend to wait until you are in Europe. I just checked for the train running tomorrow and seats are sold out but couchettes are still available.
Another way to get reservations is here :arr: https://rail.cc/en/spain-renfe-online-reservation-how-to/f4995
It should be also possible to get them online via our partner (where you could also buy your EuRail passes if you want to support our work here) :arr: [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux]
