Dear all, can anyone tell me whether I can take the train from Munich to Rome using the Germany interrail? (not the overnight train)

Hi.
No you can not use it on the night train Munich to Rome. As you are crossing Austria and you will arrive in Italy.
So two countries which are not included in your Interrail Pass.
To get inexpensive tickets for this train, book early a special price via the website of the German national railway.
Information and link: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]

these cheap tickets are your best bet.
As such the pass is COUNTRY dependent-on the border it looses value. So you would have to pay full fare Broder=Kufstain-Austria+Italy (high IC=-farelevel)-to Roma and that is quite a bit.
Railways are in the main not some company, but state-run/held official institutions, comparable to officaldom or the national mailsystems.

Thank you so much ~
As I am going to travel for about two weeks, I finally decided that I may buy the global pass~
Travelling by train surely cost a lot, isn't it~haha

Well, it depends...and InterRail usually is a good offer! :) Depends where you go and how you use it.

If you go with InterRail, you can buy the ticket in our partner - free delivery to the UK! And at the same time you support the work we do at the forum and the railcc website. :)
