Hi guys,
I'm planning a 12-day trip from Krakow-Prague-Vienna-(Bratislava)-Budapest-Ljubljana
Wondering if it'd be better to get a 5 day pass (147 pounds) or to buy them off the stations?
Many thanks!

Hi.
The best is to make the calculation via the websites of the national railways.
Then you can find special fares (if available) and compare. If you buy the tickets early, you should get good prices and then it might be worth using single tickets.
Start here with Poland, then the other countries: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-company/poland/pl

Hi,
Thanks so much for your reply! I looked at the link you sent me, the prices under the rail pass are supplements to be paid on top of the interrail pass? What about the prices for the national railways? I checked on czech-transport.com and the price comes up to 58 euros for vienna-Prague :s

Hi.
The prices you will find here, for example Krakow-Prague ( https://rail.cc/en/train/krakow-to-prague ) are on top of the Interrail Pass.
For information about fares, check the websites of the national railway companies, like I said. :)
I can't give you details about these single fares, as railcc is specialized on Rail Pass travellers. You will have to compare it by yourself.

as a short rule of fist:
MOST of these sectors CAN (if you are lucky, can prebook and also not too late) be had for 29 eur/seated. BOOK always on the railway where the trip STARTS-that is comon international practice. This is also the most common minimum price for longer sectors.
Nopw you do the math yourself.
The diff with IR is that THESE prebooked tickets are ''no good-money gone''=if you miss the train or change plans, then you loose the money. there may also be even cheaper international buses-or not. these you have to find out bey being abig boy all by yourself.
