Does anyone have experience including Russia in their interrail trip? I have already decided to go through the baltic states from Finland to Poland, as buses are very cheap, but i'm not sure if it's practical to pay a short visit to St. Petersburg or Kaliningrad when i'm in the area. I know i need a visa for Russia, being dutch, is this any difference for Kaliningrad Oblast (the part of Russia that lies between Lithuania and Poland) ?

Does anyone have any idea as to the cost of these visa's? As i plan to visit Kaliningrad for only a day or so, it wouldn't be practical if it were too expensive. I've sorted the travel - that's no problem.

Any comments welcome.

Cheers,
Joris
