I tried the railcc booking service for this connection it is not listed at all. The booking machine suggests a large detour via Paris though there is many daily direct trains. We will be traveling from Germany and do not have the time to go via Paris. Is our only option buying full price tickets?

Please, help.

Hi,

you should be able to get the reservations at Kobenhavn H. The online service is not comprehensive, sadly. The best way to make reservations usually is directly at a railway station, no fuss with shipping, printing etc... :)

Consider that a reservation for a TGV Germany - France is more expensive (13€) than for domestic TGV services in France (6€).

Thanks a lot for swift reply. Your suggestion is a good one - I will give it a shot though DSB has a tendency to overprice InterRail reservations...

The TGV connection is a French domestic service so hopefully I will get the lower fare.....

What do you mean with overpricing? Do they charge a service comission? As the price of the reservation is set by the relevant railway and should be the same in every country where you can buy it. (This excludes some night train reservations in Eastern Europe which are cheaper when bought there).

Success! I was able to get the reservations at Kobenhavn H yesterday. However, buying tickets of any kind at Kobenhavn H is now quite nightmarish as they have abandoned the automatic queueing system so you are required to stand in long lines...

In the past DSB has charged a substantial amount more than the one shown on the - website for reservations on Italian ES trains and France-to-Switzerland TGVs. This time, however, they charged the correct amount. Probably due to too many complaints...

Hi.
The information of the website you mentioned is not always correct, not updated and very general!
Sorry to say that, but better use the website of real travellers and not of a ticket outlet: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
Peter :)
