Hello 1st time Eurostar user here so i had a question about the check-in procedure.

I will be taking the Eurostar from Brussels to London in a good 5 weeks and been looking up information about Passports and ID cards.

On some places i read the word passport and stamps , on others ( including the Eurostar website ) it states a national id card for belgian and french users will do.

so my question is simple :

I was born and live in Belgium, i am 25 and got a belgian national ID card issued by my government, can i use it to take the Eurostar to London and pass the check in control by French and UK officers?

( i know the National ID card is a valid travel document between EU countries but im not sure since the UK is not in this so called Schengen thing, so i got confused )

Thanks alot in advance :D And sorry if this is in the wrong subforum , new user and i saw the word documents in the describtion so i posted here.

Hi.
ID card is fine, I always had my German Personalausweis with me. Okay for the UK. :)
