Hi all,
I am aware that many posts have been started up on railcc about first time Interrail travellers, and I will be doing the 10 day Global Pass, mostly around Germany, Italy, Prague and Austria.
However, I would also appreciate some advice on my travel plan. I plan to start from Manchester and fly to Milan on June 7th, and then start travelling with my ticket on the 9th to Innsbruck (Austria). From there it continues thus:
10/06 Innsbruck - Munich
11/06 Munich - Stuttgart
12/06 Stuttgart - Erfurt
12/06 Erfurt - Halle
12/06 Halle - Leipzig
13/06 Leipzig - Berlin
15/06 Berlin - Prague
17/06 Prague - Vienna
18/06 Vienna - Salzburg
19/06 Salzburg - Memmingen
Could anyone kindly tell me if this makes sense, or it is mad to be going full circle?
Best wishes,
Hannah

Hi Hannah,
looks good your route.
Mailan to Innsbruck have a look at this day trip. Not the fastest connection, but amazing nature and free of extra reservation fees:
Milan - Tirano: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/milan-to-tirano
Tirano - St.Moritz: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/tirano-to-st-moritz
St.Moritz - Chur: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/st-moritz-to-chur
Chur - Innsbruck by free IC and RJ (Railjet) train. Journey time: ~ 3 hours.
The rest of your trip is quiet easy to do as there are frequent connections within Germany. No need to make reservations.
From Prague you could extend your trip like for example Prague - Krakow - Budapest - Vienna.
Easy to do by night trains.
Some first thoughts from me.
Peter :)

That is amazing ^^ I've been looking at hostels as well, a few friends are putting me up.
Could I do Poznan with the Prague- Vienna?

Not really. Poznan is a bit away from the route Prague - Vienna. Have a look at Google maps. :)
Example: Berlin - Poznan - Krakow - Prague - Vienna
And don't forget Dresden in Germany. :)

Hej ...
Let's continue in English so that everybody can understand it. ;)
Dresden is and old town with historical buildings. If you cross by, it is worth to stop there. :)

That's good :)
And not a problem re: English, I just get happy talking to German people ;)
I'll definitely give Dresden a go then.
