Hey @ all,

we are planning to do this interrail-trip this summer:

Dresden - Budapest: EN 477
Budapest - Brasov: IC 375
Brasov - Constanta: Regional Train
Constanta - Istanbul: IC 582 / D 461
Istanbul - Dresden: plane

The first idea was to buy the 5-in-10-interrail ticket. But because the main part of the route is located in eastern european countries resp. the balkan we wonder if it is cheaper to take the balkan flexi pass or to buy a regular ticket for each stage.

I would be pleased if somebody could give an advice...

Thanks and greetings from dresden

Well, it depends on which regular tickets you could get. With regular fares, IR is a good option; however, if you get a Europa Spezial to Budapest you should be able to get away cheaper with regular tickets overall.
