Hi folks

Apologies if this has been asked before, I have a 10 day in 20 global 1st class ticket and I'm wondering if there is a way to check the cost of supplements/reservations for those with a First Class InterRail ticket on special High Speed trains like Thalys? Also does having a 1st class ticket reduce the cost of any sleeper supplements, esp for private double cabins?

Of course I am keen to support this great site, so I will gladly buy them here if I can.

Thanks :)

Hej Jools,

you should find all supplements for 2nd and 1st class here:
:arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

In general, reservations are same price in both first and second class; reservations with supplement (which are mainly needed for trains in Western Europe which use Global Prices) 1st class reservation are often more expensive than 2nd class, but include some extras like free snacks, drinks or newspapers.

On night trains, there is no discount for 1st class, but you are entitled to use single accomodation which is usually not possible with 2nd class tickets.

You can buy many reservations in our online shop, however, since they have to be shipped to you this may be only of a limited use for your travel.

1st cl pass entitles you to use 1st cl-sleeper wagon-but these cost an awful lot more as the basic 2nd cl. There is NO reduction on that with the IR. Plus that their supply is often very limited-and some countries force you to always pay for the whole cabin now.
