Helloooo lovely people :) I am planning to go on my third interrail this year and wanted to travel this time in Eastern Europe.
My travel route would be so far (i'm still open to suggestions :) ):
1) a flight to Sofia
2) Sofia -> Bucharest
3) Bucharest -> Belgrade
4) Belgrade -> Sarajevo
6) Sarajevo > Budapest
7) Budapest -> Vienna
I might stop by the Exit Festival on my way :) (the line up looked pretty cool hehe)
Anyways, I wanted to know if this sounds reasonable (I planned on doing this within 2 weeks)? And if you guys had any suggestions/tips for those cities? Or some other cities in those countries (I only picked the capitals but some other places might be more interesting?)
I never went to Eastern Europe and literally don't know much about those countries..
Thanks in advance :)

Hej,
sorry for answering late... :os
Sounds like a reasonable route, I assume you want to do this with a 5in10 pass? It could be cheaper to go with regular tickets bought in each country, but probably not by a large margin.
On Bucuresti - Beograd you will have to go by night train, I recommend to book a bed in a sleeper unless you want to ride in really old CFR coaches the whole trip. ;)
If you are going there first time, I think there's nothing wrong about visiting the capitals first, although there would be many more places to discover of course:
Timisoara, Brasov or Sibiu in Romania
Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegowina
Montenegro and Macedonia are just a train ride away from Beograd...
