Hi.
Yes you can return the Interrail Pass before the first day it gets valid. But there is usually a cancellation fee.
I recommend to purchase your Interrail Pass two weeks before departure
If you add a Rail Safeguard Plan Plus to your Interrail Pass, it is protected against theft and lost. The money for unused travel days will be refunded.
