Hey,
We're interrailin from Amsterdam and ending up in Rome, Aug 7th-Sept 4th. Just wondering does anybody know of any music festivals or good DJs etc playing anywhere in Europe? Or anything we should consider from your past experiences?
Thanks a mil!

Thankyou! Frequency festival looks amazing, if only they did day tickets. Rock en Seine has acts that really interest myself and my friend. It's just very far out from our Amsterdam-Koln/Hamburg-Berlin-Prague-Krakow-Budapest-Vienna-Bled-Florence-Rome route. Do you think it's unrealistic throwing Paris into the equation?

Hi.
Paris isn't fare away from Amsterdam when using the direct high-speed train Thalys (3 1/2 hours). But you will have to pay an extra reservation fee of EUR 35 one-way. And that's definitely not worth in my eyes! Using free day trains, you will need about 8 to 9 hours for this trip:

I personally wouldn't spent the money for Thalys and not include Paris.

I went twice to the Frequency Festival in 2009 and 2011 and both times it was an amazing experience! I also went to Rock en Seine several times, and it is possible to get a day ticket :) Plus, it's pretty cheap and Paris-Amsterdam by Thalys doesn't take long!! I'd also recommend Urban Art Forms in Austria at the beginning of July (www.urbanartforms.com/2012/line-up.html)
