Friends,

I think i am confused a lot, we are 4 people , two os us (one of them is me) has stayed in Switzerland for more then 6 months and two has just one month old here. if we have to travel together, can we all buy interrail pass on my behalf or can we all buy eurail pass (irrespective of 2 of us stayed more then 6 months).

we need to cover mainly france, germany and italy (starting from geneva) , would 3 country eurail pass still can be used if i start from geneva.

Hope i will get something concrete.....

thanks,
VG

Hi VG.
Those who stayed less than 6 months in Switzerland (I suppose they are origin from outside of Europe? Right?) have to buy Eurail.
All these who stayed more than 6 months in Switzerland have to buy an Interrail pass with country of residence = Switzerland. Which means: no free travel in Switzerland.
You have to proof your residence in Switzerland by official documents such for example a visa or: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-proof-residence-spain-uk/f8166#p30429

If you don't have such proofs, no-one can check if you stayed the 6 months in Europe. Therefore you will have to buy Eurail.

The rail passes also depends on the length of your travel and how many days you want to travel in total. So I can't give you details about the best rail pass for you . need more details. ;)

Peter :)
