Hi!
I have run into a problem planning out our train journeys in France for August 2012. When I began planning I scheduled a TGV journey from Dijon to Paris on Thursday 9th August departing Dijon at either 08:36 or 09:01 arriving in Paris in enough time to connect with Eurostar for London at 12:13. These TGV departure times now appear to have disappeared from the timetable from 5th July onwards. When I planned the August times weren't available so I used a Thursday earlier in the year for planning purposes.
I have made a booking on the 12:13 Eurostar, so I am locked into that.
Can you provide any advice as to the change in timetables?
Thanks

Hi,
current timetables in France are valid only until 7th July - I guess that's why you dont find your TGV for 9th August. Where did you look for schedules?
It wont be a problem to get a TGV in time to get to your Eurostar train; if you want or if you dont get a reservation for a TGV you could even go by a regular, slower TER train to Paris.

Hi Flow
I looked inTGV Europe, bahn ( [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] ) and raileur*pe. Thanks for your advice. On current timetables the TER trains leaving at a reasonable hour wouldn't get us tp Paris in time. Do you know when new timetables will be published?
Thanks

Hi!
Still wondering if anyone can tell me when European timetables for dates beyond 7th July will be published?
Thanks

Hej Ashy,
there is no official date. You can only check the websites from time to time if the new timings are published already.

anOTHER snag-esp. in FR/SNCF is (to make your worries even bigger-but stay cool-there wont be a problem), is that sometimes they know there will be works on that line-and only make detailed uptothe minute (as otherwise they would go on strike again=their favorite hobby anyway) timings when they know for how much. So the 8.42 may go at 8.36 or so-would that really make you sleepless at night? This is esp. so for the many overnighttrains, that sometimes just disappear for weeks to reappear when the big fat regulator has made it decisive.
