Hi there,

I will be making the following journeys in the summer, on the following trains, and am wondering if I have to purchase a reservation fee for any of them? I cannot find on the inter-rail ticket website where it says that you are exempt from purchasing a reservation fee because of your pass.

Paris Est - Mannheim (TGV 9553)
Mannheim - Munchen (ICE 595)
Munchen - Prague Hlavni Nadr (315 or EX 355)
Prague Hlavni Nadr - Wien Simmering (EC 77)
Wien Westbahnhof - Budapest-Keleti Pu (RJ 49)
Budapest Deli Pu - Zagreb Glavni Kolod (D 204)
Zagreb Glavni Kolod - Ljubljana (EC 210)
Ljubljana - Lesce Bled (EC 212)
Ljbuljana - Sezana (R 2618)

I rang the ************** reservation line, and they gave me various reservation fee prices for each of these journeys.

I would really appreciate your help!

Thanks

Hi.
Always funny (or even sad?!) to read that people ask an other company mentioned by you - and afterwards ask again here on railcc. Sorry to say that. :|
But there was a lot of users writing here who seemed not to be satisfied by this company.
Just to mention: we here at the railcc project really want to help the travellers, not like a lot of other companies do only to be a rail ticket outlet and then to leave the customers alone. And we do this work now for 16 years online. :)

First - we have a list of train schedules made manually by the railccs - offering as well connections without extra fees - or at least showing which train requires which reservation and where to get it - if available online:
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

Paris - Munich (I suppose Mannheim is only your stop to change the train - close by is Heidelberg - 15 minutes from Mannheim - which is worth to visit).
The TGV requires an extra reservation (available at the railcc shop): https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-alleo/172
Connections Paris - Munich: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-munich

Munich - Prague: free by direct train or via Nuremberg (worth a stop). Don't use the buses, as a reservation fee of EUR 10 ( https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/intercity-bus-prag/209 ).
Connections: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/munich-to-prague

Prague - Vienna: free - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-vienna

Vienna - Budapest: free as long as you use the direct Railjet (RJ) trains. Trains with change in Hungary requires an extra reservation. Connections: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/vienna-to-budapest

Budapest - Zagreb: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/budapest-to-zagreb

Zagreb - Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/zagreb-to-ljubljana

Ljubljana - Sezana: free local train.

And finally: if you like the railcc project and you want to support it, buy your official Interrail pass here at our partner. Thank you. :)
