Hi,

Me and my boyfriend are planning to backpack through Europe for 3 months. We'll be landing in Rome, doing southern Italy, Croatia, Northern Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France and England. I know England is it's own train system but I have absolutely no idea how many days of travel we'll need, how often we'll be using local rail over national for the other countries. How far can we get on 15 day flexi pass? Should we go for a 3 month global or buy supplementary passes and combine them? I'm feeling totally clueless and any advice is appreciated.

Hi.
It is definitely hard to say, which pass is the best for you - as long as you don't know how many days you want to travel.
The 10 or 15 days in 2 months is a nice option: https://rail.cc/en/eurail-global-pass
And then combine it with point to point tickets on shorter distances, as sometimes it makes more sense to buy an extra ticket instead of loosing one of your travel days.
For the UK there are the Britrail passes (follow the links in the top left corner): https://rail.cc/en/britrail-pass

Here you will find train connections all over Europe, to calculate a little bit the travel times: https://rail.cc/en/search-eurail-route
